ANTS MAN BIO Ants Man, as he is affectionately named, was born Romain Nelson on July 4, 1997, at the Kiwanis Maternity Clinic in Tivoli Gardens, Kingston, Jamaica. His artistic inclinations began from a tender age as he performed regularly for his parents, with the living room being the venue, the settee being the stage and the television remote, the microphone. His talent matured when he began attending Vauxhall High School where he entered several kinds of music and dance competitions including the popular Dancing Dynamites and the Jamaica Cultural Development Commission (JCDC) festival. This was where he truly recognized that he had a gift for the arts as he received tremendous feedback from family and friends. He described his style of music as being authentic Dancehall, although he confessed that he is versatile in other genres such as Reggae, Rap, and RnB. Ants Man is now based in Mountain View where he works diligently to hone his craft. His most popular releases to date include Gucci Wine, African Queen Hard Dayz and Summer Vibes. For Ants Man, his inspiration stemmed from his Dad Mark Nelson who is a Guitarist and also a backup singer for Reggae artistes such as Gregory Isaacs, Mighty Diamonds and Daddy Uroy. In addition, his style is influenced by Jamaican artistes Mavado and Jah Cure. He sees doing music as his civic duty as he wants to use positive music to uplift his community and country. Ants Man also expressed that he wants to build libraries in his community for children going to school as well as a home for the elderly and homeless.
